He's won more Golden Popcorn than anyone in the history of the MTV Movie Awards, so it would only be fitting for the show's 20th anniversary to include some maniacal Jim Carrey action.

NextMovie reports exclusively that Carrey has been added to the star-studded roster of presenters for Sunday's telecast.

While it hasn't been announced which trophy Carrey will present, it's a safe bet to say his presentation will be anything but traditional.

The funnyman owns almost as many headline-making MTV Movie Award moments as he does Golden Popcorns (that would be 11 and counting).

In 1999, Carrey appeared at the ceremony nearly unrecognizable, hidden under hippie threads, long shaggy hair, a thick mustache and purple-tinted shades. He stayed in character for over four minutes as he accepted Best Male Performance for "The Truman Show."

When Carrey accepted the MTV Generation Award in 2006, he did it with predictable fanfare, marching out in head-to-tie cultish white garb with dozens of winged angels following behind.

His acceptance speech in 2009 for Best Comedic Performance ("Yes Man") was communicated entirely via (a pre-recorded) inner-monologue, as Carrey appeared to go "totally blank" once he got on stage and admitted embarrassment at choking in front of the world and "in front of the good-looking kid from 'Twilight.'"

Carrey's movies, including "Dumb and Dumber," "Bruce Almighty" and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," have grossed over $2.3 billion at the U.S. box office. His next film, the family comedy "Mr. Popper's Penguins," opens everywhere June 17.

Other presenters at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, hosted by Jason Sudeikis, include Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Blake Lively, Steven Carell, Jason Segel, Cameron Diaz and Aziz Ansari.
