Emma Stone is crossing some lines in Jacksonville, Mississippi.

The official trailer for "The Help" has been released, and it looks like a big rollicking Southern melodrama -- something we definitely don't get enough of those these days. You can already hear the cheers from the audience even just for the scene where Viola Davis calls Bryce Dallas Howard a "godless woman."

Set in the late '60s, "The Help" stars Emma Stone as Eugenia 'Skeeter' Phelan, a recent college graduate who returns to her hometown and lands a job writing a column on cleaning in her local paper. Not knowing anything about cleaning, she must rely on her friend and maid, Aibileen (Viola Davis), as her source, and their collaboration brings to light the racial injustices of many Southern "traditions."

Check out the trailer below, which debuted on Moviefone. "The Help" opens Aug. 12.
