We've seen all sorts of amazing things on the big screen through the magic of 3D -- blue aliens, wonderlands, toy stories -- but when the hotly anticipated adaptation of "The Mortal Instruments" hits the screen, we may be in store for the most amazing 3D effect yet: the big apple.

"The Mortal Instruments" is taking a look at filming on location in New York City, but hat's just one of the juicy tidbits offered up by director Scott Stewart in his new behind-the-scenes interview with the folks over at MTV.
