Fresh off wrapping the final installment of the "Harry Potter" franchise, Daniel Radcliffe is taking on more sinister phenomena.

He no longer has his trusty wand and friends to help him, but from the look of the just-released teaser trailer for "The Woman in Black," they wouldn't have done much good anyway.

Though its running time is only about 45 seconds, the clips for this horror flick do a pretty good job of setting the tone.

The eerie music box soundtrack combined with a jumpy Radcliffe puts you on edge — but in case that isn't quite clear enough, a dramatic voice-over explains, "The most chilling ghost story of our time comes to life."

Okay. We get it.

But what, you ask, is "the most chilling ghost story of our time?"

Apparently, it's the tale of Arthur Kipps, a young lawyer who travels to a remote village to organize a recently deceased client's papers, where he discovers the ghost of a scorned woman set on vengeance.

Based on a 1983 book by Susan Hill and penned for the screen by Jane Goldman (the scribe behind "Kick-Ass"), the film co-stars Ciaran Hinds and Oscar-nominee Janet McTeer.

"The Woman in Black" hits theaters Oct. 28.
