Massy Tadjedin's "Last Night" has been in the can for sometime, first debuting at last year's Toronto Film Festival, but now we've finally got a look, and release date, for the romantic drama.
Starring Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington, the film revolves around a married couple who, in only one night apart, see themselves questioning their relationship and life choices. Seducing them away from their significant others are the always-gorgeous Eva Mendes and suave, French actor Guillaume Canet ("Tell No One").
So many beautiful people in one movie... no wonder there's rumbling at the core.
The trailer paints "Last Night" as a particularly stark, moody film, lacking the usual moments of ferocious melodrama you might expect from a movie about shifting relationships and possible affairs. Knightley almost always delivers a watchable performance, but it's especially nice to see Worthington doing something that doesn't involve loin-cloths or spacesuits -- heck, the guy actually smiles in this movie! The movie may be a new emotional record for the Australian actor.
"Last Night" is set to make an Ameircan debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in late April and debut in theaters May 6. You can catch the trailer in HD at Apple.
