Ch-ch-ch, ha-ha-Hansel. That might be what audiences hear in "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" now that Jason Voorhees has joined the 3D thriller.

According to JoBlo, actor Derek Mears, who portrayed the hockey-masked hacker in the 2009 "Friday the 13th" reboot, has joined director Tommy Wirkola's frightening new take on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale.

And if you thought Jason was miffed at those Camp Crystal Lake counselors, that's nothing compared to what Hansel and Gretel have in store. Fifteen years after being held hostage in a gingerbread house, the now grown siblings are still pretty p.o.'ed and are hell-bent on wiping out some witches.

Mears joins actors Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as the titular Hansel and Gretel, and Famke Janssen has been cast as the head hag. No word on what role Mears will play, but if his character is anything like Jason, he won't need a trail of breadcrumbs to find his prey.

"Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" is currently slated to arrive in theaters in March 2012.
