Justin Timberlake's on-set accident was news to his "Now" co-star Matthew Bomer, much as it was to us.
The studio confirmed earlier this week that the multi-hyphenate injured his calf muscle while performing his own stunt during production of the Andrew Niccol-directed sci-fi thriller. They also announced that production on the film was taking a "brief hiatus" and would "resume shortly."
According to his co-star who was on a break from shooting at the time, shortly is indeed short.
"As far as I know, I'm going back to work in a week and he'll be there and we're going forward," Bomer tells NextMovie exclusively at the "Stories of Prejudice and Power" event hosted by USA Network and The Moth. "He's a great guy and a truly dedicated professional, so I'm sure everything's going to be fine… I certainly hope he feels better soon."
Bomer claims working with the man who brought sexy back has been action-packed, to say the least.
"We have a lot of active scenes where we're running together and stuff," he says. "It's a blast on set. We've had a lot of laughs, making jokes here and there."
But can the pop star act?
"I am blown away by Justin," the "White Collar" star claims. "He's incredibly talented and an amazing actor."
