They can kick ass in Ireland too, you know.

Aaron Johnson of "Kick-Ass" has officially become one of the fightin' Irish as he's joined the cast of "Albert Noobs," a Dublin-set drama being directed by Rodrigo Garcia ("Mother and Child").

Set in the 19th century, "Albert Noobs" tells the story of a woman (Glenn Close) who must disguise herself as a man in order to survive. According to The Playlist, the film is being described as in the vein of  "Gosford Park," a "below-stairs" drama full of witticisms and trickery.

The cast also includes Mia Wasikowska (Alice of Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" herself) and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (who knows a thing or two about "witticisms and trickery" after his run on Showtime's "The Tudors").

Orlando Bloom was once attached to the project, though Johnson appears to be his replacement. Filming is scheduled to commence in the next week or so.

Now, maybe Orlando Bloom could play a villain in "Kick-Ass 2," just to put things back in order, karma-wise and all that.
