Martin Sheen will play Uncle Ben "Dies Early in the Film" Parker in director Marc Webber’s "Spider-Man" reboot, confirms The Hollywood Reporter.

This is great news for Martin Sheen, whose son Charlie has been famously misbehaving and shirking his sitcom for the past couple weeks. Now Martin can put his son’s misbehavior behind him and take the next year or so to rehearse lines like "I won’t be here forever, Peter" and "Watch out, he’s got a gun."

It sure is nice work can distract us from our family's shortcomings.

Speaking of family, the best reason to watch "Brothers & Sisters," Sally Fields, is rumored to be in talks with Sony and Webb to play Uncle Ben’s wife, Aunt May.

Did you know Sally Field was on the cover of Playboy in 1986? Now you do. But she’s not just a sex symbol, guys! She’s also an incredibly talented actress, vocal political activist and all around wonderful human being.

"Spider-Man" is shooting for a July 3, 2012 worldwide release. It will star Andrew "MARRRRK" Garfield in the titular role, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey and the creepy guy from "Notting Hill" as The TBD Villain.
