For Amy Adams, Chris Cooper and Rashida Jones, it's time to put on makeup.
You already know there's a new Muppet movie in the works, right? Of course you do -- it's the greatest entertainment-related news of the year. And it just keeps getting better.
Disney's currently untitled new Muppet adventure (although the IMDb has listed what might be a working title of "The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made") features the Muppets reuniting to put on a show in order to save a movie studio.
"Forgetting Sarah Marshall" alum Jason Segel is writing, producing and starring in the film, and now Heat Vision has revealed some of his fellow (human) members of the Rainbow Connection.
Amy Adams will play Segel's girlfriend, who joins him in his quest to gather the now-scattered Muppets. Chris Cooper will be channeling his inner Doc Hopper as the villain who plans on destroying the movie studio to dig for oil. And the lovely Rashida Jones of "The Social Network" will be playing an ABC executive.
The movie was written by Segel and Nicholas Stoller and will be directed by James Bobin of "The Flight of the Conchords" (and we'll bet money right now that Jemaine and Bret will be making cameos).
Shooting commences in Los Angeles in November with Disney eyeing a release date of Dec. 25, 2011, making it possibly the best Christmas ever.
