If anyone is going to make you defend your case, no matter how seemingly noble your actions may be, it's Stephen Colbert.

Documentary filmmaker Davis Guggenheim learned this firsthand when he appeared as a guest on "The Colbert Report" to promote his new film, "Waiting For Superman."

While Guggenheim's film has been praised by critics and audiences alike for exposing what could be interpreted as the incompetence of the American public school system, Colbert (rather unsurprisingly) didn't give his guest an easy time of it, asking the hard questions that put the "An Inconvenient Truth" director on the spot.

Comedy Central has posted the entire episode of "The Colbert Report" that aired on Oct. 7.
