Johnny Depp just made a nine-year-old girl's year -- and probably the rest of her school's as well.

The London Daily Mail reports that Depp made a surprise visit to Meridien Primary School in London -- in full costume as Captain Jack Sparrow -- after receiving a letter from young Beatrice Delap, asking for the Captain's help in staging a mutiny against her teachers.

"Captain Jack Sparrow, At Meridian Primary School, we are all a bunch of budding young pirates," she wrote. "Normally, we're a right handful but we were having a bit of trouble mutinying  against the teachers. We'd love if you could come and help!"

She signed the letter, "Beatrice Delap, aged 9, a budding pirate."

After giving her a hug, Depp told her, "Maybe we shouldn't mutiny today because there are police outside monitoring me."

Johnny Depp is currently in south London filming "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," due in theaters May 20, 2011.
