Superheroes are busy people.

For instance, in an average day, Wolverine has to not only track down Sabretooth and battle the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, he also has to review the latest script from Fox and prepare himself for more than a dozen comic book cameos and crossover appearances. It's a hectic gig.

But despite all the demands of his job, there's one thing even a hard-ass like Wolverine has to take time out for: a chance to say "I love you."

And that's exactly what "Wolverine" star Hugh Jackman did recently as he offered his time, voice and ruggedly beautiful face to a special birthday video created by a fan named Kristian Anderson.

Anderson, you see, was diagnosed with cancer a year ago and, with the help of his wife Rachel, has been battling ever.  With her birthday approaching, Anderson decided to put together a special video to show how much he cares.

Once word of the project reached Jackman, all the supervillains in the world couldn't keep him from lending his support.

So check out Kristian's video, clearly inspired by the romantic comedy "Love Actually" and co-starring New Zealand Prime Minister John Key.

When you're done and you've dried your eyes, why not take a moment to tell your own loved ones how much they mean to you – you don't need to be a superhero to save someone's heart.
