After what feels like forever and a day, Now You See Me 2 is due out June 10, 2016 — almost exactly three years after the first film, might I add. Most of the OG squad from Now You See Me is returning for more ways to blow our mind via the art of magic.
The trailer dropped March 16 and reunited us with magicians Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and my unofficial husband Dave Franco.
It’s refreshing to see the gang back together again, wowing audiences and tricking the authorities. Seriously, the Four Horsemen actually make breaking the law look fun (except, don’t actually break the law or anything).
It’ll be interesting to see Radcliffe in action in this world, and since he tells the squad, “I want you to steal it for me,” it’s safe to say he’s not #TeamDontBreakTheLaw either.
But after 10 years of always being a law-abiding (wizard) citizen, it’s probably for the best he gets to explore the other side — although, his character Walter doesn’t give off any Voldemort vibes or anything.
And while I wish the movie would open this weekend, we’ve waited nearly three years already, so what’s a few more months? We’re almost there!
