Movies Streaming/On Demand This Week: 'Seeking A Friend At The End of the World' & More

Though titles are on the light side this week, we have an interesting assortment including Steve Carell and Keira Knightley finding each other at the end of the world, Honest Abe taking his trusty axe to slay some vampires and one half of the comedy duo Tim and Eric getting a little dramatic for his latest film.

Eclectic enough for ya?

'Seeking A Friend At The End of the World'

With Earth on the brink of destruction, some party like the world is going to end, and others cope by continuing to go through their daily lives. The latter is how Dodge (Steve Carell) is handling it until he decides to go in search of his long-lost love. With his flaky neighbor Penny (Keira Knightley) tagging along, the two embark on a strange road trip.

Why Watch It: Fun cameos and Carell/Knightley have good chemistry (but, needless to say, the only way these two could believably be linked is if the world was ending).

'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter'

Based on the best-selling book, Timur Bekmambetov's ("Night Watch," "Wanted") highly stylized M.O. brings to the screen an Honest Abe who does more than abolish slavery — he wipes out vampires, too.

Why Watch It: Though many didn't flock to see an axe-wielding Lincoln in theaters, the eye-popping effects are worth the viewing price.

Madea's Witness Protection'Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection'

For his latest Madea adventure, Tyler Perry casts Eugene Levy as a patsy in a mobed-up Wall Street Ponzi scheme who is forced to relocate his family. Who better to hide out with than Aunt Madea?

Why Watch It: Oh, sassy Madea is in rare form in this one.

'The Comedy'

Tim Heidecker of the comedy duo Tim and Eric stars in this bizarre look at a privileged hipster who spends his days getting drunk and putting himself in uncomfortable situations to see how people will react.

Why Watch It: The movie tests its audience to stay with it, but Heidecker's performance is impressive.

Available On: Cable On Demand, VUDU (In theaters in November)
