CBS was home to the 66th Annual Tony Awards last night, although not many people seemed to notice. Only 6 million people tuned in, which is the lowest rating that the show has seen since 1991. Thought interest in the show appears to be waning, the network will probably continue to air the awards as it's summertime and new programming is hard to ignore.
Neil Patrick Harris of "How I Met Your Mother" hosted for his third time in a row. He opened with a number wondering what it would be like if life were more like theater, spoofed Spider-man: Turn Off the Dark, and closed with a recap rap. "Clybourne Park" took home the award for Best Play and "Once" won for Best Musical.
