Diane English, the creator of Murphy Brown, mentioned at the TV Land Awards that she's working with CBS to bring back her iconic character for some follow-up episodes. She said, "We're having a little conversation with CBS about a few episodes, and I think it's possible." The episodes would revolve around the 2012 Election. Candice Bergen is currently starring in the Broadway play, "The Best Man," so the show would presumably begin filming once it wraps up in July. One can only hope that the rest of the FYI crew would also have time to make an appearance. (Bonus points if they get Haley Joel Osment back as the now twenty-year-old Avery.) As long as it's just for a few episodes, having Murphy Brown's hard-hitting style back on the air sounds like a wonderful idea.
