With only a few episodes under their belt, both Veep and Girls will be getting a second season on HBO. The freshman comedies will each get a second ten-episode run apiece. Although the ratings are fairly modest, the interest in the shows have been incredibly high. Girls has been holding steady at a little over 800,000 viewers during the first airing. Veep is getting around 1.4 million viewers. When the total numbers for all methods of viewing are combined, the shows are pulling in over 3 million people each, so it's no wonder that HBO extended the seasons.
