Will We Ever Get Rid Of The Kardashians?

This just in: People are sick of the Kardashian family.

But someone has finally taken their griping from their circle of friends to the Internet and created an online petition begging the E! network to stop airing the family's reality shows. As of Nov. 17, more than 130,000 signatures had been added to the petition, which is about two weeks old.

Cyndy Snider explained to Yahoo that she set up the petition because, “These shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption.”

In part, the document reads, “We are respectfully requesting that your network [E!] find other shows to air. Keeping up with the Kardashians is just not viewing that we the public, would like to see from your network. Enough is enough.”

Anti-Kardashian sentiment has swelled since Kim Kardashian recently announced her impending divorce from Kris Humphries, a union that lasted a whopping 72 days. Since that time, rumors have since circulated that the wedding -- which was run as a two-night special in October and drew 10.5 million viewers --  was staged, possibly for financial gain.

Prior to the wedding special, the September season finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians raked in about 3.5 viewers. So really, there's no telling if the petition will do any good until the Nov. 27 premiere of Kourtney and Kim Take New York, which is said to include all the divorce drama.

Our prediction: People will still tune in, if only to see the short-lived relationship unravel. After all, if that kind of thing weren't attractive to viewers, would The Bachelor still be airing?
