Perpetually troubled Teen Mom star Amber Portwood is getting help in rehab -- and word on the street is that the presumably sizable bill will be mailed elsewhere.
"I don't know who is paying for it," a source close to the Teen Mom star told E! News. "All I know is that it's a lot and someone with money is paying."
Last month, the Indiana teen checked into Seasons Recovery Center in Malibu, a few weeks after being hospitalized. Her baby Daddy, Gary Shirley, made a 911 call and told the operator that Portwood was going to try to commit suicide, which set the events into motion.
But far be it from MTV to let the girl recover behind the scenes. Portwood's brother, Shawn, says that the network's cameras are following the very personal experience, despite concerns of her family and doctor. One can only assume we will see the footage on later episodes of the show.
"They filmed a scene where she and I talked on the phone the other day," Shawn says. "Her doctor and I do not agree with it, but there's nothing I can do."
Hmmm... we'll give you one guess as to who is forking over the dough for her treatment.
Shirley and their daughter, Leah, are reportedly visiting Portwood now for family week at Seasons.
Portwood previously made headlines after being arrested for domestic battery against Shirley, and for her dramatic weight loss after having daughter Leah.
Teen Mom airs at 10 p.m. Tuesdays on MTV.
