New Jersey Housewife Teresa Guidice has been trying to talk her way onto Dancing With the Stars for quite some time now, to no avail. Her latest strategy seems to be to try to embarrass the show by pointing out that it has taken people a lot less classy than her.
The New York Post reports that Guidice had some news for a fan who recently tweeted that she should be picked for DWTS, which has cast a good many stars who have done reality TV – and even people like Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino who aren’t known for anything else – but has never seen fit to select anyone from a Housewives show. Guidice’s answer was a snide “Would [love] to but they don't want ‘Housewives’ this season. But Playmates are OK?”
Yes, DWTS has cast numerous women associated with Playboy (Kelly Monaco, Holly Madison, Joanna Krupa), and others who have been seen in a sex tape (Pamela Anderson, Kim Kardashian, Kendra Wilkinson). But none of them have ever appeared on television flipping over a table and screaming “Prostitution whore!” – that might be Teresa’s problem.
Guidice’s disdain for DWTS is no doubt heightened by the fact that she has come across in the past as someone who is very eager to appear on the show. Last summer, she tweeted the news that she was being considered for the fall season, and even asked her fans to weigh in on what partner would be best for her. If recent rumors are correct, and DWTS is sincerely trying to raise the caliber of its celebrity contestants, she might be disappointed for a long time to come.
