That's probably the most interesting nugget from Jaleel White's revealing interview in the new Vanity Fair...which you probably aren't going to read anyway.
That, and this quote: "I'm the highest-paid black kid in the history of television, just so you understand that."
White starred as Steve "Did I do that?" Urkel in Family Matters, the long-running ABC sitcom that ran from 1987 to 1998. But before that, he apparently landed the role of precocious young Rudy on another hit sitcom, The Cosby Show. A last-minute audition by Keshia Knight Pulliam screwed that up, but White remains philosophical: "All of these rejections resulted in me making a sh*tload of money elsewhere."
