Teen Mom star Amber Portwood may be a minor celebrity now, but the price of fame may land her behind bars.
Portwood, 20, has been formally charged with domestic violence and battery after an episode of MTV's Teen Mom showed her hitting her ex-fiance and baby daddy multiple times.
If convicted of the two felonies and one misdemeanor, she faces up to three years in jail and fines of up to $10,000.
Authorities in Anderson, Ind., launched an investigation seven weeks ago after MTV footage aired showing Portwood slapping, punching and kickin Gary Shirley, 24, while their young daughter watched.
Portwood told Us Weekly she has been taking medication to cope with her moods.
