Yet another Real Housewives star is filing for bankruptcy. Maybe we shouldn't be showing off our lavish lifestyles on TV, ladies?
Sonja Morgan, a recent and welcome addition to The Real Housewives of New York City, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Wednesday in Manhattan. Apparently, she was having trouble making ends meet on a $26,000 monthly income.
Morgan is about $20 million in debt. She blames a failed movie venture involving John Travolta for part of her money woes.
Apparently Morgan's production company couldn't meet the demands of the movie star, so the project stalled and Morgan was subsequently sued for $7 million by a partner in the venture.
Previous Housewives who went bankrupt include Teresa Giudice from New Jersey, Lisa Wu Hartwell from Atlanta and Michaele Salahi from D.C.
