It looks like Medium is down to the last of its nine lives.

After several near-cancellations -- and being rescued by CBS after NBC killed the show in 2009 -- EW.com is reporting that series star Patricia Arquette confirmed the show has been cancelled by CBS. The network cut the veteran shows' episode order to 13 this season.

The show is averaging about 7.1 million viewers on Friday nights, which makes a cancellation puzzling from a ratings perspective. No official word yet from CBS.
