Pros: He's fit, attractive, the ladies love him and he's got some serious acting chops. He's beginning to branch out and impress critics with his performances in films like Me and Orson Welles and Charlie St. Cloud. He has all the makings of a future A-lister.
Cons: He has the Disney creation stigma all over him, causing many adults to shun and dismiss him outright. If he doesn't begin taking risky indies soon ala Depp, Pitt and DiCaprio, he risks becoming another Richard Grieco or Mario Lopez.
Pros: Quite possibly the single most talented of the bunch, this kid is an actor's actor and he is scoring a lot of big roles in mainstream films. Indie cred + mainstream recognition = big star.
Cons: Not many at all. Critics love him, the ladies love him. He just needs to pick more Star Trek and less Terminator Salvation.
Pros: He's a great actor, seems to have a good head on his shoulders about breaking out of the corner that people want to paint him into and he's already one of the most recognizable stars in the world.
Cons: If he doesn't successfully destroy the Potter image after the series ends he'll be signing autographs at comic book conventions for the rest of his life.
Pros: A holdover from last time, Shia is still pulling major roles in big hits and franchises. Directors love working with him, he's intelligent, savvy and everyone knows who he is.
Cons: He gotten over-saturated very quickly and appeared in some less than stellar sequels. He has to overcome the rising negativity if he's going to break out and be successful.
Pros: Another holdover, Bell is still one of the best actors in his age bracket, capable of incredible performances.
Cons: He still hasn't caught on. For some reason, he can't catch a break. He needs a big hit or two in which he is the star, or he needs to get used to the idea of being a popular character actor.
Pros: The youngest of the bunch, he's getting cast in critically acclaimed genre films, making him a surefire favorite of the geek press and genre fans.
Cons: He's still very young, and whether or not he's really very good or just really very good for a child actor has yet to be determined -- and frankly, will take years. Some kids his age grow up to become River Phoenix, others Corey Feldman.
