Interview: Michael Cera and Portia Doubleday Talk Youth in Revolt

I recently sat down with Michael Cera and Portia Doubleday to discuss their upcoming film, Youth in Revolt.

The topics discussed include:

The source material

Portia's acting class

Make out scenes

The French (just in general)

Note: my apologies for the color treatment on this footage, the room was darkly lit to set the "mood." Thankfully, the audio is still quality, and I've interspersed some footage from the trailer to give you a feel for the movie (which I quite liked). Enjoy!

Footnote: Topics that didn't quite make the edit, but which were discussed:

*Neither Cera nor Doubleday has a Twitter account as of December.

*Cera's favorite Pixar film is currently Up, though he quite liked Wall-E as well.

*Doubleday's favorite film of the year is This is It, while Cera enjoyed Inglourious Basterds, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and the aforementioned Up.

*Cera's current favorite food is Mexican, while Doubleday enjoys mushroom-shaped chocolate candy (not exactly sure what that is).

*Both young actors would love to do voice work for Pixar.

Youth in Revolt opens wide on Friday, January 8.
