ABC Cancels Adam Lambert After Controversial AMAs Performance

Turns out Jennifer Lopez wasn't the most talked-about performer at the American Music Awards.

Adam Lambert is persona non-grata at ABC after his controversial on-stage antics at the live awards show.

Lambert was scheduled to perform on ABC's Good Morning America this week, but the morning show pulled out after viewers complained about Lambert's sexually suggestive performance at the AMAs, which aired on ABC.

"Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning," a network spokesman said.

While closing out the show Sunday, the former American Idol darling simulated oral sex with a male dancer, kissed a male keyboardist, grabbed his crotch and flipped off the crowd.

In a surprise move, the stodgy CBS was quick to swoop in and offer Lambert a spot on its ratings-challenged morning show. Lambert will perform on The Early Show Wednesday.
