Big Brother 11: Miscellaneous Friday

Happy Friday everybody! Hope things are going great for all of you today!

Nominations are going to occur later this afternoon and there won't be many surprises there. Chima will be putting up some combination of Russell, Michele, or Lydia. I think that Russell will definitely be nominated but am unsure as to who she'll put up against him. And then depending on who wins the POV and if it's used, the other person will be put up in the saved one's place. That's what I believe Chima will do anyway.

Of course, who the hamsters will be voting out of the house on Thursday could be completely different due to Jeff's wizard power. Some think he won't use it because then it would make himself a bigger immediate target. Others hope he uses it to put up Jessie and Natalie (as long as one of them doesn't win POV that is) so that one of that power duo are evicted. At this point, everything's really hanging on the Power of Veto competition that will probably be held tomorrow.

For those of you who haven't seen it yet, check out Julie Chen's interview with Ronnie 'Ratboy' Talbott. All I have to say is his version of reality is completely different from most others. He also has one heck of a reality check waiting for him once he gets back home and gets online. Or not. He'll probably go on believing he knows it all.

You should also check out Ross Mathews' interview with Ronnie right here. It's a little lame though because Ross was so nice to him. But if you're a fan of Howie 'The Jedi Master' then you'll enjoy it.

Besides watching these interviews, you should read Julie Chen's new blog post up over at EW.com. She can be so funny! I also love how she was just as confused as all of us were about all the fights and what caused them.

When I was home for lunch today and watching the feeds, I was listening to a conversation that Chima was having with Michele and Natalie up in the HOH room. What stuck out the most to me was how much Chima really does seem to want the women to to run the game this season and win. Of course, I'm sure she imagines herself as the last woman standing but I'm down with a woman winning this season.

We haven't had a female winner since Maggot I mean Maggie won Big Brother 6. But for that to happen the women in the house this season are going to have to find a way to band together and get the men out sooner rather than later. We all know how emotional females usually are though and I just can't see the women of Big Brother 11 staying together long enough to accomplish the mission.

Jeremy Piven from the hit HBO show Entourage stopped by the Big Brother house this afternoon to visit with all of the hamsters. Is it because he's a fan? Perhaps. Is it because he has a new movie called The Goods: Live Hard, Play Hard coming out on August 14th? That's probably more like it. In fact, that's definitely like it. Movie passes for the Haves were a part of the Have Nots competition held today so this will be a definite segment for Sunday's show.

Speaking of the Have Nots, the foods that America decided for them to supplement their slop with this week are liver and limes. Mmmm, delicious! Not! There are four Have Nots this week by the way. Jeff is a Have Not as well as Michele, Lydia, and Kevin. Jeff's not too thrilled about losing the competition because he wanted to see a movie but at least Kevin is trying to think of the positive. He just told Lydia in the kitchen that they can make limeade instead of lemonade. Lydia shot him a look back that almost sliced right through him. But hey, I'm sure Michele's happy she gets to sleep next to Jeff. Ha! And I'm sure Russell is happy about winning $10,000. I would be.

Nominations haven't been held yet but I'll update this post after we know who's on the block. Like I said earlier, it'll be between Russell, Lydia, and Michele. Regardless of how it happens though, Jeff just promised Russell he'd take him off the block if he won the POV tomorrow. Of course we know that Jeff doesn't necessarily have to win POV to do that. So it seems to me like Russell's a keeper for the week no matter how things happen.

Update at 7:15 PM - The feeds are back and I've finally figured out who is definitely nominated. Chima put Russell and Lydia up on the block. Russell has already gone upstairs to the HOH room to apologize to Chima for his actions last week and also wished Natalie, Jessie, and Chima luck in the game - in other words, letting them know he's not with them anymore. Lydia's doing a fake caring about Russell's fate to him in the kitchen right now because she knows that Russell is the true target. Michele is worried about not playing in the POV tomorrow because she doesn't want to be backdoored.

Overall, Chima's nominations are no surprise. Russell has to feel a little safe right now because of Jeff's promise earlier. But did Jeff literally mean that if he won the POV he'd take him off the block? Or was he really meaning using the Coup d'Etat without letting Russell know that? Would Jeff sandbag in the competition tomorrow to make it seem to Russell that he can't save him and then still wind up taking him off the block right before the live voting on Thursday? Would Jeff save Russell AND Lydia on Thursday or just Russell?

What do you think is the ultimate plan this week? And now that you know who's on the block, who are you hoping wins the POV on Saturday?
