Box Office Predictions May 18

5. Disturbia $3.1m
It's a little crazy how long Disturbia has occupied a slot in the top five. It sits at $75m worldwide and you know they are talking sequel or prequel. Logically insane? Welcome to Hollywood!

4. Georgia Rule $3.3m
MaryAnn had some great advice for Ms. Lohan here. I don't have much in the way of advice except for this: stop appearing in bad movies (like this one). I will say that I liked Bobby quite a bit. But she was only in a few minutes of that one so I'm unconvinced.

3. 28 Weeks Later $5.4m
It didn't make much of a box office dent. It won't this weekend either as all the true fans have seen it (like our boy Cargill).

2. Spider-Man 3 $34.6m
What a bloodbath! The 60 percent drop this one tallied last weekend was something I clearly didn't see coming. The word of mouth had to have been savage. This weekend will be a little kinder as people seeing it now know the drill and have made peace with it. Plus, I don't think Shrek the Third takes a ton of business from it here in week three.

1. Shrek the Third $102.5m
Much money will be had here, but not enough to set records. I don't think all the kids are out of school yet and the Shrek luster has faded some since the original six years ago.

Check back with MaryAnn on Monday. She's a recapping dynamo.
