5. The Ex $4.5m
Let's see here, savage reviews, limited theaters. Yep, we've got a star performer on our hands. It's one and done in the top five for The Ex.

4. Delta Farce $6.7m
Not screened, but there was some interesting news in that they decided to screen it for the troops. I think their best move would have been to allow no one to screen it. Ever. Even if they bought a ticket.

3. Georgia Rule $10.4m
MaryAnn and I are in agreement. This is a molestation comedy. I have no idea how movies like this get released, especially in the summer, where competition is guaranteed to be ruthless.

2. 28 Weeks Later $18.6m
This is getting decent reviews, but zombie movies are never going to get giant numbers at the box office. At least until we're all turned into zombies. Then I imagine they'll beat strange hero movies like Spider-Man 3.

1. Spider-Man 3 $85.1m
Well, look what we have here, Spidey with the repeat. Next week Shrek the Third and its 84-minute running time will give this one a serious run.
