Will You Be My Movie-tine?

Looking for the perfect gift for your sweetie this Valentine's Day? You can give her (or him) precious jewelry, a night on the town, or an extravagant vacation for just the price of a movie ticket.

Here are my suggestions for a Valentine's Day night at the movies.

Nothing says "I love you" more than diamonds. And nothing would say, "I love you but I'm not Bill Gates" more than taking your better half to Blood Diamond. For the guys, it has plenty of action, including gun battles, elaborate chase scenes, narrow escapes from death, and even a helicopter gunship attack. Plus, Jennifer Connelly is easy on the eyes. For the gals, there are the diamonds, an emotional love story, and of course, sexy Leo.

If diamonds aren't your thing, why not a night out for dinner, drinks and gambling at Casino Royale. There has been a lot of debate over Daniel Craig and his "reinvention" of the James Bond character, but there's no denying this is one of the best 007 flicks ever. Fellas, try to forgive your sweeties for salivating too much during the scene when DC comes out of the ocean.

If your true love loves to travel, take him or her on an exotic trip to Babel. You'll visit Morocco, Mexico and Tokyo in just over two hours. Maybe not the most romantic movie out right now, but you'll be watching this year's probable winner of the Best Picture Oscar.

And finally, for something a little simpler and more traditional, some milk and cookies with Will Ferrell and Maggie Gyllenhaal in Stranger Than Fiction. Little did you know this is one of Ferrell's best performances, and one of the cleverest films I've seen in a long time.

Happy Valentine's Day.
