Matt Damon Reaches Out to African Children Without Managing to Adopt One

Sadly, it is not possible for Matt Damon to get any sexier. At least not without my head exploding. If he weren't all maxed out on sexy, he would totally be even hotter now, with his recent launch of H20 Africa, a new initiative to combat the lack of potable water in Africa. Damon recently visited the Sahara Desert to do research for his upcoming documentary, Running the Sahara, and realized the extent and seriousness of the clean-water issue in the region. The initiative hopes to raise awareness and to aid in the creation of water purification systems at local schools.

Damon isn't the first celebrity to take note of this issue. Def Jam Records president Jay-Z had a similar experience on a recent trip to Africa, and is teaming up with the United Nations and MTV to raise awareness for the cause. Jay-Z held a news conference at the U.N. and is working on an MTV documentary titled The Diary of Jay-Z: Water for Life.

For more information on the cause, and to learn what you can do to help, check out the H20 Africa website.
