A Crew Album From Drake And OVO Sound Exists And Could Be On The Way

Makonnen teases the album

Drake has been steadily expanding his OVO Sound team in recent years -- just last month he signed an artist named dvsn to the label -- and we may hear all of the assembled talent on one album before the end of the year.

"I can't say too much, but, yeah, it exists," ILoveMakonnen, another OVO signee, said of a group album, during an interview of HuffPostLive. "We'll just see when it comes out."

When pressed about a possible release date for the project, which would likely also showcase PARTYNEXTDOOR, Majid Jordan, Roy Woods, and OB O'Brien in addition to Drake, dvsn, and Makonnen, the "Tuesday" singer dished just a bit more: "Maybe October some time. Wouldn't that be great?"

It would, yes.

As for his solo work, Makonnen is dropping his Drink More Water 6 mixtape next week and said he's working with Kanye West, Diplo, David Guetta, and Noah "40" Shebib on his upcoming debut album. Plus, he could be on Aubrey's Views from the 6.

"I made a song with him when we first met, and he told me it was one of the best songs he ever heard in the last five years, which made me melt," he said.

We'll find out in April if it made the cut.
