Ariana Grande is quite the tease these days.
Shortly after launching her mysterious new website dangerouswoman.com, it became clear that the “tea” section of her site was the place to watch for news to drop (or for tea to spill, in this case). It was here where we learned of Ari’s big Saturday Night Live plans -- in an audio message, the singer revealed she’d be performing two new songs, “Dangerous Woman” and “Be Alright” on the March 12 show.
Now, Ari’s generously (or clumsily?) spilled more tea about the title track to her upcoming third studio album, Dangerous Woman. On Tuesday afternoon, an audio file appeared on her site (and later on her Twitter account), treating us to our first taste of the presumed single.
In the clip, Ari can be heard belting the sultry tune live, a cappella style: “Dangerous woman, somethin bout somethin bout somethin bout you… makes me want to do things I shouldn’t,” she sings, pausing only to make some comment about the lights in the room. (Girl, where are you, a haunted house??)
During a Q&A video session on Monday, Ari teased even more details about her follow-up to 2014’s My Everything, revealing that the standard edition will have three collaborations and 15 tracks total. She also explained the reason why she changed the album title from Moonlight to Dangerous Woman, saying, “Moonlight is a lovely song and it’s a lovely title,” she said. “It’s really romantic, and it definitely ties [the album] together, the old music and the new music, but Dangerous Woman is a lot stronger. I want to be empowering my fans.
"I feel like my personal growth is reflected in the sound,” she said. “I'm really proud of it...To me a dangerous woman is someone who's not afraid to take a stand, be herself and to be honest.”
Somethin bout, somethin bout, somethin bout that makes us even more psyched -- the countdown is officially on, Arianators.
