Damn, Daniel. Back at it again with the tattoos.
Daniel Howland, a piercer at Platinum Ink in Austin, Texas, already has a tattoo of the #thedress. Yep, that dress. But that wasn't enough for the 25-year-old, who recently got some fresh ink courtesy of tattoo artist Drew Cottom: a white Vans slip-on sneaker from the now-famous "Damn Daniel" meme.
"Everyone for the last week has been yelling 'Damn Daniel' at me," Howland told the New York Daily News, "so I figured it was only fitting! (Pun intended)."
Howland isn't the only one paying permanent homage to the meme, either. Tattoo artist Joshy Hislop inked one as well.
In case you've been living under a rock for the past two weeks, "Damn Daniel" is a reference to a viral Snapchat video by high school students Daniel Lara, 14, and Josh Holz, 15, from Riverside, Calif. A hacker deleted the original video, which had over 45 million views, but here's a snippet of it:
Lara and Holz became Internet famous overnight for their vid and appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where Daniel won a lifetime supply of Vans sneakers and Josh won a surfboard. Fans even made remixes of Holz's "Damn Daniel" voice. The Internet is a strange place, my friends.
