Taylor Swift, Lorde, Jennifer Lawrence, And More Are Best Dressed At Oscars After-Parties

All ya faves went all out.

After the Oscars are the Oscars after-parties which are, it seems, way more fun than the ceremony itself. Not only were more of our faves at the Vanity Fair party, but the #FASHUN was way more exciting and less, y'know, Oscar-y.

Here are our faves from the partay — enjoy!

  1. Demi Lovato in Dolce & Gabbana

We may have missed Demi Lovato during the Oscars red carpet, but she made up for it with her look for the Vanity Fair party. Her sheer lacy gown and slicked-back hair stood out even among the mostly black carpet. — Erika Harwood

  2. Kerry Washington in Atelier Versace

Hi, can chartreuse accents be added to every single dress on Earth? I mean, Kerry Washington makes a very compelling case. — Maeve Keirans

  3. Gwen Stefani in Yanina

Though her new beau was in jeans, Gwen went all out in a sheer gown from Yanina. Sure, a red lip with a red gown has the potential to be a lot, she pulled it off perfectly, as only Gwen Stefani can. — MK

  4. Jennifer Lawrence in Alexander Wang

JLaw slipped out of her Dior gown and into an Alexander Wang two-piece. Her bandeau top and high-slit skirt were good on their own, but the metal hardware added that extra cool. — EH

  5. Hailee Steinfeld in Elie Saab

Hailee Steinfeld combined two of the night's biggest trends — black and sparkles — in one form-fitting Elie Saab gown. — MK

  6. Priyanka Chopra in Jenny Packham

It takes a special kind of person to pull off a beaded shawl with matching skirt, but that's why we love Priyanka. Her after-party look was a 180 from her red carpet dress and she pulled it off seamlessly. — EH

  7. Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton

Alicia Vikander went full Disney Princess for the red carpet, but swapped out her billowy yellow dress for a sleek black one at the after party. She also added a gold accessory, which pairs perfectly with any outfit. — MK

  8. Rachel McAdams in Naeem Khan

Rachel McAdams was one of our faves on the red carpet and kept up her streak at the after-party in powder pink. Also, uh, did she get a spray tan between the red carpet and party or does that shade of pink just make it look like you just returned from Tahiti? — MK

  9. Emma Roberts in Yanina

Emma looked like an actual doll at the Vanity Fair party last night -- but, like, in a good way. Her Victorian-esque white tulle gown with black appliqués definitely makes a good case for that Downton Abbey style. — EH

  10. Taylor Swift in Alexandre Vauthier

Oh hey, Tay. This is a much sexier look than we're what we're used to from Taylor, who decided to go for a low-cut, high-slit gown. It's the T-Swift version of the Angelina Jolie leg and it looks v, v good. — EH

  11. Selena Gomez in Louis Vuitton

While Selena Gomez opted for a full-coverage gown, she was equally as eye-catching as her fellow party-goers thanks to SO MANY SEQUINS. — MK

  12. Gabrielle Union in Georgine

Yes, Gabrielle Union wore a turtleneck to the after party, and yes it was still sexy as hell. Also, if anyone could convince you to do swoopy bangs for the first time in your life since high school, it's her. — EH

  13. Brie Larson in Monse

What goes better with an Oscar statuette than a velvet gown? Nothing, it would seem. — MK

  14. Lorde in Monique Lhuillier

When Taylor Swift is your date for the night, it's easy to be overshadowed. But Lorde's custom Monique Lhuillier gown, full of tulle and beads, was able to withstand the presence of T-Swift and earn a spot of its own on this list. Congrats, boo. — EH

  15. Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell

While Lady Gaga definitely changed outfits for the Vanity Fair after party, it doesn't really look like it. Gaga stuck to an all-white look with wide-legged pants and a long train — a slightly more relaxed version of her red carpet outfit from earlier. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. — EH
