Carly Rae Jepsen Found Perfect Collaborators In The Knocks On 'Love Me Like That'

Here's the bubblegum breakup song you didn't know you needed.

Carly Rae Jepsen’s latest album Emotion featured a ton of amazing collaborators, and now she’s added a couple more to the list.

The “Call Me Maybe” singer appears on the new single from New York duo The Knocks, and it’s the catchiest breakup tune you’ve heard in a minute. “Love Me Like That” sets Jepsen’s emotive vocals against muted electric guitar and a disco beat as she laments the loss of a relationship that didn’t quite work out as she planned.

The Knocks, aka Ben Ruttner and James Patterson, first caught Jepsen’s attention last year when they released an unofficial remix of “All That.” They might not have had her blessing ahead of time, but they quickly earned it with their upbeat rework of the slow, soulful Emotion cut.

“Love Me Like That” is taken from The Knocks’s forthcoming record 55, which comes out March 4. "While we were wrapping this album [55], we had an idea for a song that we thought she would sound perfectly on, so we cold called her about collaborating and she was into it,” the duo told Elle. "We flew out to LA that week and recorded it together. We are really happy with how it turned out."

It turned out so well, it’s making us want a whole collaborative album from the three musicians. Doesn’t Carly and the Knocks have a ring to it?
