Here's What A Lesbian Disney Princess Might Look Like

Plus Cuban, Filipino, and Indian princesses.

It's impossible to watch a Disney film without placing yourself in the story. We all, at one point or another, have dreamt of leaping off a cliffside waterfall like Pocahontas or building a castle of ice with our bare hands like Elsa.

For some of us though, placing ourselves in these fantasy scenarios is hard, because we don't have any shared traits with the characters of the Disney Universe -- that's where BuzzFeed comes in.

BuzzFeed asked John Ramirez, a Disney animator who's worked on The Lion King, Aladdin, and Beauty and The Beast among others to animate four women of color into Disney princesses, and the results make us wish these movies could happen ASAP.

"I definitely know that a lot of girls out there would love to see this," Jazzmine, one of the participants says in the video.

The drawing of a pierced and natural-haired Jazzmine being courted by a woman is a highlight of the experiment, which also features a Cuban mermaid, a fairy from the Philippines and an Indian princess.
