Lamar Odom Makes First Public Appearance At Kanye’s 'Yeezy Season 3' Show

The former NBA star joined estranged wife Khloe Kardashian at the show.

Among the A-list attendees at Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3 event on Thursday afternoon were Kid Cudi, Young Thug, Pusha T, Frank Ocean, and more of the man of the hour’s esteemed colleagues. But it was another man whom Kanye entered the building with that the crowd was probably most surprised to see: Lamar Odom.

The former NBA star made his first public appearance since his nearly fatal drug overdose last October, walking by Kanye’s side as the Kardashian-Jenner family filed into Madison Square Garden.

Odom joined estranged wife Khloe Kardashian and her sisters, all of whom dressed in coordinating all-white ensembles. Kendall Jenner led the pack, toting Kim and Kanye’s daughter North in her arms. She was followed by newly platinum-haired Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian, as well as Kylie, Kris, and Caitlyn Jenner.

Khloe and Lamar sat next to each other for the duration of the show, during which Kanye played his entire new album, The Life Of Pablo, and debuted his Yeezy Season 3 collection. The Kardashian-Jenner women were clearly ~feeling~ ‘Ye’s much-hyped seventh record, which included features from Ocean, Rihanna, Chance the Rapper, and The Weeknd.

After ‘Ye finished playing the album (but before he led chants of “Fuck Nike” and announced his new “Only One” video game), the family exited their seats together, with Lamar following closely behind Khloe.

Odom was discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles almost a month ago, and has continued his recovery in a facility near Khloe’s home in Calabasas, Calif.

Kris Jenner told Entertainment Tonight this morning that she’s “excited” to see Odom back on his feet.

"Kanye invited him to come, and it's a big deal for him to be able to come," she said. "I'm excited. For him to have this, you know, this is a milestone for him to be able to travel. So, baby steps. But this is a big one. This is a huge step for him.

"I think it's a great thing for him to be with the family, and come out and do something that we're all a part of, and he really wanted to support Kanye,” she added. “He really wanted to be here for him, because Kanye was very instrumental in part of his recovery."
