The Jonas Brothers disbanded almost three years ago but, let’s be real, can you ever really split up when you’re blood-related?
As far as Nick and Joe Jonas are concerned, the answer is a resounding “NOPE.” Over the weekend, the younger two Jo Bros reunited onstage for a hyped-up performance that proves two Jonases are always better than one.
Ahead of the Super Bowl in San Francisco, Nick appropriately warmed up the crowd at ESPN The Party with a string of his own hits and a few special covers, including Drake’s “Hotline Bling” and The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face.” In the middle of his set, big bro Joe and DNCE bassist Cole Whittle hopped onstage to perform their hit “Cake by the Ocean,” while Nick provided backup vocals and guitar accompaniment. And even though it was Joe’s band’s song being played, seeing him perform with Nick brought back major “Mandy” and “S.O.S.” vibes. Check it out:
Sure, DNCE are on the verge of a breakout year, and Nick’s already carved out an impressive solo career for himself, but it’s performances like this that prove you can always go back to your roots. (Someone please pass this message along to Kevin so we can get a proper reunion going!)
