Taylor Swift Is Getting Her Own Mobile Game For You To Obsess Over

Players are gonna play, play, play, play, play this one.

Swifties, your “wildest dreams” have been answered: Taylor Swift is (wisely) making her first foray into the world of mobile gaming.

Following in Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry’s footsteps, she’s partnered with Glu Mobile to develop a new game due out in late 2016. The tech company announced the news on Wednesday, saying in a statement, “We realize that Taylor and her global fan base expect a new and highly differentiated mobile gaming experience. Glu is equally committed to designing never before seen gameplay elements that utilize Taylor’s unique creativity.”

Celebrity mobile games have only gotten bigger in recent years, with “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” originally paving the way. After it launched in June 2014, it became an instant money-maker, and spawned several other games from Perry, Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj, Demi Lovato and Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

Further details about Taylor’s game are still unknown, but if they’re anything like Kim and Katy’s ventures, they’ll boast a cartoon-like animated style and involve a journey toward stardom that relies on in-app purchases (maybe Taylor’s Tokens will be the equivalent of Kim’s Koins?).

In any case, we’re excited to see what Taylor and Glu come up with -- perhaps challenges involving recruiting squad members, packing stages with famous faces, adopting cats, and battling large corporations (ahem, Apple) to gain justice for today’s artists? Just some suggestions.
