For a long time, the world of celebrity was a very homogenous one, with actresses, singers and models of note looking pretty much the same. These days, that is changing for the better.

Last year, Australian model Madeline Stuart broke barriers after graduating from an aspiring model with down syndrome to an in-demand model, with two campaigns under her belt for athletic brand Manifesta and handbag brand EverMaya.

She'll also be walking during New York Fashion Week at the #IAMNYFW FTL Moda show in February, and her 114,000 Instagram followers and more than half-a-million Facebook fans are free to sit front row -- if they're lucky enough to secure one of the 10 front row tickets open to non-industry folk.

BuzzFeed recently gave Stuart the Disney Princess treatment, transforming her into Rapunzel, Mulan, Ariel and others with help from hairstylist Yuichi Ishida and makeup artist Joshua Masuda.
