In A Little Over A Minute, Your Idea Of Depression May Be Shattered

This is really thought-provoking.

There are roughly 14.8 million people in America living with depression, and about half of them never seek treatment. Many people suffer in silence, never telling anyone what they're going through.

On Jan. 27, BuzzFeed Video uploaded a clip to help highlight their struggle.

The video shows that depression doesn't always appear in the way we expect: a mess of a person unable to function, always sad, tired, and disheveled. (Like ... look at this image search for depression. That's definitely not what it looks like for a lot of people.)

We don't want to give the ending of this brilliant clip away, but basically the moral of the story is that for some people, depression means getting up, going to work, socializing and appearing to be fine on the outside -- when there's really a lot more going on behind the scenes.
