Lil Wayne And George Washington’s Super Bowl Commercial Is Super Weird

Watch these two bro out over some buns.

Word to the wise: If you ever want to party with Lil Wayne, you best bring the buns.

For reasons still unknown, Weezy F. Baby stars in a new Super Bowl ad for with his strangest collaborator yet: President George Washington.

In a 15-second teaser released today, the Founding Father, decked out in colonial grandeur, appears at the entrance to Wayne’s slick pad. The rapper (wearing cheetah-print pants that Kanye would surely dub #coolpants) eventually buzzes GW up -- but only after making sure he’s “got the buns.” Like, actual, consumable buns with gluten and wheat and stuff. Not any other kind of buns. We think.

“It’s almost party time and George left on a bun run hours ago,” the vid’s description reads. “Now Lil Wayne is getting worried.”

According to Ad Week, the minute-long spot, titled “The Arrival,” also stars actor Jeff Goldblum and focuses on “celebrating apartment lifestyles.”

There are still so many questions to be asked here, like how Wayne and Wash became bros in the first place, what they’re cooking with said buns and whether they’ll drop some #fire freestyle about hamburgers. Hopefully we’ll get all our answers when the full ad airs during the Super Bowl on Feb. 7.
