Now that Lil Wayne and Birdman have begun to rebuild their relationship, new music could soon be on the way. Our first, and best, piece of evidence since their apparent reconciliation earlier this month: The two were in the studio together.
Birdman posted a picture of the session -- which also included Yo Gotti -- on Instagram on Wednesday night. The flick is one of a half dozen featuring Tunechi that the Cash Money CEO has posted in the last week alone. In years past, that wouldn't have been anything notable, but Father and Son haven't been getting along too well over the last year and change (at least), which became apparent when Wayne said he wanted "nothing to do" with Birdman and Cash Money in December 2014. In the time since, he's launched additional slights towards his label boss, and even filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit.
But the reconciliation seems to be in full force (though Weezy reportedly hasn't dropped the suit), and Birdman appeared onstage next to Wayne over the weekend, proclaiming, "This is my motherf--king son. I’d die for him, I’ma live for him and I’ll motherf--king kill for him. You heard me? That ain’t gonna never change...It’s YMCMB for life."
Let's hope this means someone (looking at you, Birdman) will finally free Tha Carter V.
