There's a reason so many people change outfits when they go from an awards show to the after parties. Because, unless you're wearing a tux, an enormous and/or constricting gown isn't exactly the easiest thing to party in. But that may change, thanks to new dress technology discovered through Zendaya's Marchesa gown that she wore to the Golden Globes.
Zendaya arrived on the red carpet wearing her to-the-floor gown. Fitting for the ceremony itself, but a little bit cumbersome for the dancefloor.
But then, at the after party, Zendaya's dress magically got shorter. According to her stylist Law Roach, this was thanks to both the gown and Zendaya herself. He told Teen Vogue, "It was one part great construction from Marchesa and the other Zendaya hiking up her dress ready to dance the night away.”
Kudos to you, Zendaya. May all other dresses be capable of this for award seasons to come.
