Lady Gaga Confirms New Album In 2016 -- And A New Look

Little Monsters, get excited.

Fresh off winning her first-ever Golden Globe on Sunday night (Jan. 10), Lady Gaga dropped some huge album news backstage: LG5 will be here in 2016.

"You know, I am putting out an album this year. I won’t tell you when!" Gaga told reporters backstage, via EW.

Gaga's untitled forthcoming album will be her first since her collaboration with Tony Bennett, 2014's "Cheek to Cheek," and her first original record since 2013's critically mixed "Artpop." The singer-turned-actress also confirmed that she'll be debuting a new look in tandem with the album. She's currently working on what, exactly, that look will be.

"That's a difficult thing to say, as I don’t know that you yet know what I will look like for my next album, as I’m still creating all of those things," Gaga said. "It’s something that is a gradual change always with me."

"What was nice about playing The Countess is it reminded me that in my own life and in my music, I’m always -- at times -- playing a character, and I become them fully," she added. "And living inside of her was liberating, I'll tell you, because she doesn’t give a s--t about anything."

So, does this mean Gaga's fifth studio album will be inspired by The Countess and Hotel Cortez? We can only dream, if only to relive this fab moment:
