Watch The Women Of The Golden Globes Prove They're The Ultimate Badasses

"What an incredible year for women in film!"

This year's Golden Globe awards weren't full of the sometimes hilarious, often passionate feminist moments that marked last year's ceremony -- like when Gina Rodriguez pointed out the power of diverse representation, or when Maggie Gyllenhaal celebrated the new roles for women on television and film, or when Tina and Amy did... almost anything.

But that doesn't mean that there weren't some awesome (and occasionally confusing) moments for women to shine before the Hollywood Foreign Press Association tonight (January 10). For example, when America Ferrara and Eva Longoria reminded everyone that there are more than two Latina actresses in Hollywood, and when both Kate Winslet and Maura Tierney spent precious time in their acceptance speeches lauding the other actresses in their field.

And then, of course, there was that time Taraji P. Henson handed out cookies to everyone in the audience and then literally refused to give up the stage because she wasn't done with her speech. If that's not empowering then I don't know what is.

"This is different" indeed, Katy Perry. But hey, at least we all had some fun with our fellow women tonight!
