Motörhead's Lemmy Kilmister's Memorial Will Stream On YouTube

Rest in power, Lemmy.

Lemmy Kilmister was revolutionary. The Motörhead frontman, who passed away on Dec. 28, was one of the founders of heavy metal, inventing the music and embracing the lifestyle. He was also a madman, known for a hard-livin' life of alcohol and amphetamines and his elaborate collection of Nazi memorabilia.

It's only fitting that Lemmy's sendoff be as innovative and crazy as his life and his music. The memorial service, being held at the Rainbow Bar & Grill in Los Angeles on Saturday (Jan. 9), will stream live on YouTube at 5:30 p.m. EST. The Rainbow, one of Lemmy's favorite hangouts, is expecting such support that they're opening the entire Strip of accommodate for overflow.
